European Best Destinations names destinations least affected by coronavirus
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought tourism to a halt globally and has put travelling on hold for the most part. By relaxing safety protocols and instituting the new normal, many European and world destinations have adjusted to the newfound situation, slowly reopening their borders and allowing tourists to visit.
European Best Destinations is an organisation headquartered in Brussels tasked with promoting EU tourism and culture – in this case, select European destinations least affected by the coronavirus. Cavtat, Rijeka and Zagreb are Croatian cities that found their place on the list.
The organisation emphasises that Croatia is among the least affected European countries with up to 20 times fewer cases of infection per million inhabitants than any other European country. They also point out that Rijeka is an ideal city-break destination and that will definitely be one of the top destinations to visit this summer.
