The international street festival begins May 31st and runs through June 4th, with a new d'Best Street Food feature
Croatia's oldest street festival began today and will run for five days, ending June 4th. It will feature 700 programme hours with more than 500 performers from all around the world.
The 21st edition of this international street festival will welcome street performers, musicians and artists from over 20 countries, with over 150 performances over five days taking place through-out the city: on the Flower Square, the Bogovićeva street, Zrinjevac, the Ban Jelačić Square, the European Square, the Tkalčićeva steet and the Strossmayer Promenade.
On the European Square, Cest is d'Best will also launch a new festival feature - d'Best Street Food, where around 10 local caterers will offer sweet and savory delicacies to festival goers.
In addition to the already mentioned performances, the festival will also hold 13 concerts, 10 art installations, 20 art workshops, 10 theather performances for children and an assortment of activities: PluTrka – a Race for dogs and their owners, a Trash Collectors' Race, Usporka – the Slowest Cycler Race, an Alpine-art activity on the Flower Square called „The Flower Children atop Buildings and Trees“, The Wandering Brush – around the city with an easel, The Wandering Piano, Nights of Dance at Zrinjevac park, the Zagreb Dance Fever and a number of others.
