Meet the exploitative activity of stone, coal, bauxite, shale, silica sand and other raw materials, which have played an important role in the architectural and urban planning, as well as in the industrial image of the Istrian peninsula.

Centuries of mining activities on the territory of Istria have contributed to the development of architecture, urbanism, landscaping, as well as development of the society as a whole - and this is exactly what you will experience. Guided by an expert and true lover of the mining heritage, followed by the story of actual participants of that time and the flavors of typically Istrian, laborers’, miners’ food, we will introduce you to the world of the hard life of miners, stone cutters and masons of that area. Knowing that Istria is not only a rock and coal, we take you to the islands of Brijuni to fall into the silence of centuries-old trees and feed your soul.
