Turopolje, one of the most picturesque Croatian regions was once covered by dense oak forests.

We start the tour in Velika Gorica, previously known as the city of Turopolje where we visit the Turopolje Museum. The building was built in the mid-18th century and housed the “Noble Municipality of Turopolje”. In addition visiting some of the most beautiful sights in Turopolje; the wooden chapel of St. Barbara in Velika Mlaka, the wooden manor of Modić-Bedeković from 1806 in Donja Lomnica, the mansioncastle Lukavec, the chapel of St. John the Baptist from the 17th century in Buševec, you have the opportunity to participate in a presentation on the traditional way of making and baking bread. Enjoy a true Turopolje breakfast, lunch or dinner that include excellent Turopolje specialties, followed by performance of a folk ensemble which presents the songs and dances of Turopolje and Posavina and participate in a short lesson in traditional dances.
