Birds are special creatures. Enchanting us with their appearance, fl ight or song, they have always represented the concept of freedom and subtle mystery to people. By visiting the best preserved and richest bird habitats of northeastern Croatia, the magical world of birds will enchant you as well!

Whether naturally or artifi cially created, habitats such as ponds, mostly of a swamp type, along with their closer surroundings are home to endangered and in Europe rare populations of razorbill, whitetailed and spotted eagles, black storks and other species. There are also numerous colonies of ducks, herons and spoonbills and the rich fauna and fl ora surrounding them. Accompanied by trained professionals and enthusiasts, members of the BIOM association, for many years actively engaged in projects for the protection and study of birds, take a sneak peek into this magical world. Be its dear guest and help preserve the rich but fragile bird world of the Croatian wetlands.
