Croatia Named Partner Country of RDA Group Travel Expo 2025

The RDA Group Travel Expo is taking place this year on April 29th and 30th in Cologne. This year’s edition is particularly significant as Croatia holds the prestigious status of Partner Country, while Kvarner is being showcased as the Partner Region. As one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for the coach and group travel industry, the event features approximately 340 international exhibitors and expects over 1,000 professional visitors and buyers, primarily from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

In addition to the activities at the Croatian exhibition stand, the country’s tourism offerings were further highlighted through a special presentation by Romeo Draghicchio, Director of the CNTB Representative Office in Frankfurt. Draghicchio placed a particular emphasis on travel to Croatia’s continental regions, while the Kvarner Tourist Board showcased the area as a premier destination for coach and group travel through three thematic presentations.

"Current trends and pre-season results from the German market underscore the importance of coach and group travel to Croatian destinations. Serving as the Partner Country this year provides us with exceptional visibility and promotional opportunities in this vital segment. This is best evidenced by our April results from Germany, where we expect to reach approximately 550,000 overnight stays. This represents a growth of over 50% compared to last April, making this the best-performing April in history for the German market," stated Draghicchio.

He further noted that excellent results were also achieved last October, confirming that this market segment plays a crucial role in strengthening tourism traffic during the pre- and post-season periods.
