According to the latest research conducted by the renowned British tour operator Riviera Travel, Dubrovnik has taken first place on the list of the safest cities in Europe. The study covered the increase in crime rates over the last five years and the current level of security. Dubrovnik achieved a high overall safety score of 44.14.
This UNESCO-protected gem, also known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic,’ provides visitors with a complete sense of security as they stroll through medieval streets alongside perfectly preserved city walls, the report states. It is also noted that visitors can be assured they are in an exceptionally safe location, allowing them to relax and fully enjoy everything the city has to offer.
Following Dubrovnik on the list of the safest cities are Tallinn, Warsaw, Prague, Krakow, and Amsterdam.
It is worth noting that this news was reported by many well-known British media outlets, including the Mirror, Express, Metro, and Daily Mail, which strengthens the perception of Croatia as a safe and competitive tourist destination.
