Condé Nast Traveler included Croatia, Dubrovnik, and the island of Hvar among the best destinations in the world

New valuable acknowledgments for Croatia and Croatian tourism arrive from the readers of the renowned American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler. According to the Readers’ Choice Awards 2023, their choice, i.e. as part of the awarding of the prestigious Readers' Choice Award 2023, Croatia was singled out in the list of top 20 world destinations, occupying 14th place. On this list, in front of our country, are destinations such as Japan, Italy, Greece and Ireland, while behind Croatia are destinations such as Germany, Great Britain, Austria, France and others.

Croatia is also on the list of the 10 most friendliest countries in Europe, and the additional popularity and recognition of Croatian tourism on in the large American market is confirmed by the inclusion of the island of Hvar on the list of the best European islands, as well as Dubrovnik, which is included on the list of the best cities.

Considering the categories in which Croatia is singled out, our country is described as one of the friendliest countries in Europe. Dubrovnik is described as the most famous and favorite destination in Croatia and as an excellent starting point for exploring the Croatian islands, while the island of Hvar is said to be a destination that offers a perfect combination of luxury and rustic flair.

The Readers' Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry, and are voted on by Condé Nast Traveler readers who submit responses and ratings based on their travel experiences.

Let's add that according to the data of the eVisitor system from the American market, 645,000 arrivals and 1.8 million overnights of by American tourists were made in Croatia so far this year. Compared to last year, this represents a growth of 33 percent in arrivals and 23 percent in overnights, while compared to 2019, these data indicate a 9 percent increase in arrivals and 12 percent in overnights. Americans spent the most nights in Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb, Hvar and Rovinj.
