Wanderlust includes Croatia on the prestigious The Good to Go List 2026
The list highlights the world's most exciting destinations for 2026

Croatia has been included on The Good to Go List 2026, the annual list by Wanderlust, one of the oldest and most respected British travel magazines. This list highlights the most exciting destinations in the world for 2026 and brings together locations selected based on authentic experiences, a responsible approach to tourism, and impressive local stories. Our country earned its place on the list thanks to its recognizable rich history, cultural heritage, and unique identity.
"Croatia among the top 26 for 2026; this is yet another recognition from a valued international media outlet that confirms our position as a tourist destination offering more than just a trip. Croatia provides authentic experiences throughout the year, a connection to heritage, and memories that tourists cherish for a long time, which is exactly what modern travelers are looking for. It is a great honor to receive recognition from the British market, where guests recognize our country as a high-quality and safe destination with a wide range of tourism products," stated Bisera Fabrio, director of the CNTB Representative Office in London, adding that the inclusion of Croatia on The Good to Go List 2026 further strengthens our visibility in one of the key source markets for Croatian tourism.
In the text dedicated to Croatia, Wanderlust emphasizes how our country has long been at the center of the development of human evolution, gastronomy, and culture. It mentions prehistoric heritage, including Krapina and the largest site of Neanderthal remains, as well as the Vučedol culture and the cravat, which originates from Croatia. Additionally, Istria is showcased as one of Europe's most significant areas for truffles, with a rich offering of festivals and gastronomic events in places like Motovun and Buzet.
It should be noted that in 2025, British guests in Croatia realized more than 834,000 arrivals and 4.1 million overnight stays, which represents an equalization in arrivals and a 2% growth in overnight stays compared to 2024. Most overnight stays were recorded in Dubrovnik-Neretva and Split-Dalmatia counties, and by destination in Dubrovnik, Split, Konavle, Župa dubrovačka, and Rovinj.
In addition to Croatia, other destinations selected for the Wanderlust list include Japan, Australia, Jordan, Argentina, Angola, Portugal, Malta, Spain, and others.
