The new Package Travel Directive (PTD) was officially published in the Official Journal of the European Union on May 8. This document introduces important rules aimed at strengthening passenger protection and modernizing the legal framework within the EU.

Member states have a clearly defined timeline for the alignment of national legislations with the new European standards: Transposition into national law: by September 29, 2028, at the latest. Application date: March 29, 2029.
