Third round of summer camps for children from Ukraine

Join the fundraising campaign for this year's camps in Sweden, Finland, Latvia, and Poland

The European tourism industry, led by ECTAA, in cooperation with the Association of Independent Tour Operators of Ukraine (AITO) and the Swedish foundation New Hope Travel Industry Children's Fund, is organizing summer camps for children from Ukraine for the third consecutive year. This initiative is based entirely on the volunteer work of tourism associations, tour operators, hoteliers, and transport providers who donate accommodation, meals, and activities in the destination for children affected by the war. Thanks to their efforts, summer camps in six European countries have been provided for more than 275 children over the past two years.

Croatia also responded to ECTAA's invitation last year, with UHPA and UPA-HGK, in cooperation with representatives of the Croatian National Tourist Board, local tourist boards, and public institutions in the destination and surrounding areas, preparing an activities-filled stay in Biograd na Moru for 43 Ukrainian children.

In 2026, two new camps are planned in Sweden, Finland, Latvia, and Poland for around one hundred children. These will be coordinated by national associations SRF (Sweden), SMAL (Finland), ALTA (Latvia), and PIT (Poland), with the support of AITO (the Ukrainian association of tour operators), ECTAA, and the Swedish New Hope Travel Industry Children's Fund.

While all local costs of the stay are covered in advance by donations from industry partners, a new charitable fundraising campaign has been launched to cover the bus transportation costs for the children from Ukraine.

More information about the initiative can be found in the leaflet here, while all details regarding fundraising for this year's camps are available on the official website of the New Hope Foundation here.
