ECTAA: 132nd semi-annual meeting held in Prague
The focus of the two-day meeting was on discussions regarding the impact of the Middle East crisis on tourism

The European Travel Agents' and Tour Operators' Associations (ECTAA) held its 132nd semi-annual meeting in Prague on May 28 and 29, 2026. The two-day gathering was attended by representatives of travel agency and tour operator associations from 33 European countries.
As part of the meeting, sessions of the ECTAA Executive Board were held, alongside elections for the highest bodies of the association for the 2026–2028 mandate period. Heli Mäki-Fränti from the Finnish Association of Tour Operators (SMAL) was elected as the president of the association, while Marios Kammenos (Greece) was elected as vice-president.
Mäki-Fränti succeeds Frank Oostdam, who served as ECTAA president for the past four years and has been actively involved in ECTAA's work since 2007.
Gabriele Milani (Italy), Pawel Niewiadomski (Poljska), Frank Radstake (Netherlands), and Daniela Stoeva (Bulgaria) were elected to the ECTAA Executive Board, while UHPA (Association of Croatian Travel Agencies) president Tomislav Fain was elected as deputy director, and Boris Žgomba, president of UPA-HGK (Association of Travel Agencies at the Croatian Chamber of Economy), was elected as director of the Croatian delegation.
