Croatia Airlines introduces new Dubrovnik – Stuttgart route
During the 2026 summer flight schedule, Croatia Airlines directly connects Dubrovnik with seven other European destinations, in addition to Stuttgart

Croatia Airlines has introduced a new international route in its 2026 summer flight schedule, directly connecting Dubrovnik with Stuttgart. The airline emphasizes the route's importance for the Dubrovnik area in cooperation with the Ruđer Bošković Airport, as well as the tourist boards of the City of Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
Flights on the new Dubrovnik – Stuttgart route will operate until October 23, twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The introduction of this route further strengthens the international connectivity of southern Croatia with one of the most important German markets.
As emphasized by Slaven Žabo, commercial director of Croatia Airlines, this is part of the continuous development of the Croatian national carrier's international flight network, with a special focus on connecting Croatian destinations with markets that hold strong tourism and economic potential: "Germany is traditionally one of the most important markets for Croatian tourism, and Stuttgart and the wider Baden-Württemberg region have strong ties with Croatia, both in tourism and economic terms, as well as due to the numerous Croatian diaspora. With this new route, we are further strengthening the accessibility of southern Croatia during the summer season and enabling passengers from Germany a more direct and straightforward arrival in Dubrovnik. At the same time, this route contributes to a better international connectivity of Dubrovnik with Europe and confirms Croatia Airlines' role in connecting Croatian regions with key European markets."
During the 2026 summer flight schedule, Croatia Airlines directly connects Dubrovnik, alongside Stuttgart, with seven other European destinations: Athens, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Prague, Rome, and Zurich.
Viktor Šober, managing director of Ruđer Bošković Airport, believes that the introduction of the direct Dubrovnik – Stuttgart route represents another important step forward in strengthening the international connectivity of southern Croatia: "In cooperation with Croatia Airlines, we continue to develop a flight network that ensures stable and high-quality accessibility for Dubrovnik throughout the entire season. We believe that the new route will have a positive impact on overall traffic and further improve the mobility of our county's residents, thereby strengthening economic and social ties with one of the most important European markets."
Stuttgart is the capital and largest city by population of the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg, as well as one of the most important economic, cultural, and transport hubs in southern Germany. It is one of the most developed German regions, with strong business, tourism, and family ties to Croatia, making the new route important for both incoming tourist traffic and passengers traveling between Croatia and Germany.
Miro Drašković, director of the Tourist Board of the City of Dubrovnik, also considers every new airline route to Dubrovnik to be extremely important, as it further strengthens the city's international connectivity and creates opportunities for higher-quality tourist traffic: "The Dubrovnik - Stuttgart route is particularly significant due to the strong connection with the German market, which has been among the most important source markets for our city for years. We believe that this route will further increase Dubrovnik's visibility in that German region."
Julijo Srgota, director of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, expects this route to further strengthen tourist traffic from the German market, but also to lay the foundation for a more long-term and higher-quality connection between our county and the Baden-Württemberg region, which is home to a significant Croatian diaspora: "It is especially important for us to attract high-spending guests who seek authentic experiences, premium eno-gastronomy, and active holidays. The Dubrovnik-Neretva County offers exceptionally high-quality and diverse content for this profile of visitors. We believe that this route will additionally contribute to the destination's visibility and stimulate tourist traffic growth throughout the county."
